THOMAS: Oh, thank you. It's not a problem I, uh, this is just another part of the job, right?

REPORTER: Of course but few at your age have such a handle on it. It's really very impressive, Jane.

THOMAS: Really, it's not that big a deal. Just a lot of practice. (THOMAS laughs)

REPORTER: I'll let it go, then. Back on topic! How are things on set with your latest project? There are a lot of older talents you're working with. Is it intimidating?

THOMAS: Wow, yeah, it's . . . a lot? But it's not intimidating at all! They're all very kind and, uh, so accommodating of my slip-ups and just great mentors. Really sometimes I think they're giving me almost, uh, special attention.

REPORTER: Ah, so you've become a bit like the child of the cast then? They're looking after you?
[break][break]
THOMAS: I guess you could say that, yeah. They look after me as much as anyone else, I guess.
[break][break]
REPORTER: But not everyone, right? We hear Mr. ■■■■■■ has been really putting you through your paces. Director and co-star and, if the rumors are true, a bit like your shadow.

THOMAS: Oh, yeah, uh . . . ■■■■■■ is great! He expects a lot of me and isn't afraid to let me know. and it can be intense and even a bit, uh, scary at times? (THOMAS laughs) But he's, it's all for the best. It's for my own good.

REPORTER: That's wonderful, next on the . . . uh . . . hmm. We might have to cut things short, things are getting dark awfully fast. Winter, right?

You've expressed admiration for trainers in the past, Jane. Any plans to take a break from film and go on your own journey?

"I think pokemon trainers are super cool! I've worked with pokemon in a lot of different ways, and I have Teddy to keep me company -- (Thomas rubs the Teddiursa's ears) but uh, my place is on the screen I think. It's my job to . . . to uh, bring life to their stories. I don't have the kind of mettle to go out on my own or the know-how to challenge the league. It's not like I had much time for trainer school, right? (she laughs)."
